Sharing A Creative Style Through Photography

This story is about…

Female Entrepreneur: Trelanda Lowe

Location: USA

Company: B-imaging Photography

Industry: Photography

She started her business because: she wanted to share her creative style.

Age range: 40s

What motivated you to start your business?

My motivation to become a photographer, was to share my creative style. Much of my early life was inspired to be a model, but I found that I truly wanted to be a photographer. I found too many photographers in the modeling industry running a business game and not getting the clients to the next level of their career with what they brought to the table. I therefore made it a mission to give clients the best images that would pull them forward to the next level of their career – as well as mine.

Tell us about your business…

B-Imaging Photography’s brand is about expression, true personality, contemporary style, vivid color, and evoking a mood. Master of cross-processing, B-Imaging Photography captures the human spirit, while convincing you that they are using photoshop for every color effect. This untouched-up collection of B-Imaging’s portfolio demonstrates their amazing photography skills. We specializes in headshots, special events photography, night life event photography, business profile photography, dating profile photography, pin-up,bands, nudes, sports, still photography for the film industry, weddings, athletic documentary weight loss photography, and photo journalistic world life. Having a background working in the photo lab industry and working for Getty Images has created a sense of balance in B-Imaging Photography’s style of work.

What is a day in the life of you like?

Preparing a diagram of the photo project I would be working on for the day, working with the client, creating magic, and delivering excellence in my work to my clients.

Aside from that, I would also do a lot of photography homework on what new cameras are out, digital output, film options that are still available, and learning how to advance my craft to the next level.

What have been your biggest challenges so far with running your business?

The biggest challenge so far with running a business is keeping up with the ruff economy and still staying afloat.

How did you overcome these challenges?

I learned to overcome by downsizing a few things here and there, to keep striving on and by strategising many aspects in an effort to generate revenue.

What have you found to be the most effective way to get new clients?

The most effective way to get new clients is networking, showing my work, offering more competitive rates, and inviting clients on photographic tours.

What advice would you give to other business owners?

The advice I would give other business owners is never give up, keep learning in efforts to make your business grow, never be closed minded to what new opportunities will come to your door, and keep your clients wanting to come back.

How do you keep motivated through difficult times?

My motivation is through meditation, being persistent, challenge the word “no” to the word “yes”, keep smiling, never give up.

What’s your favourite quote?

“Our lives is not determined by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens; not by what life brings us , but the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a change reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It’s a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results!”

Who inspires you?

My daughter and my sweetheart inspire me.

Do you have a business philosophy?

Always have a smile on your face, stay positive, and keep striving.
