Tell us about your business…
BollyFitUK is a company promoting fitness, health and well being through the use of Bollywood Dancing. BollyFitUK aims to become the biggest Bollywood fitness method throughout the UK through the promotion of BollyFitUK classes, BollyFitUK dance for Kids and BollyFitUK Fitness DVDs. BollyFitUK also aims to entertain at events/shows/weddings/parties.
What is a day in the life of you like?
I have 3 children 4 and under so my day starts with a cuddle from them. Once they’re in childcare work begins…bollyfit workshops, bollyfit classes, promotional work, advertising my work, rehearsals for dance events and much more. I also work as a psychologist/researcher and my main are of interest is in mental health and hence my interest in dance and well-being.
What have been your biggest challenges so far with running your business?
Running the business alone throughout my pregnancies and now as a mum of 3 young children.
How did you overcome these challenges?
Through the help of a very supportive husband and other family members, a lot of organisation and amazing time management so that my children are still well looked after.
What have you found to be the most effective way to get new clients?
Word of mouth, advertising in magazines or local newspapers and taster classes.
What advice would you give to other business owners?
Never give up and follow your dream no matter what hurdles are thrown in your way.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
I dance some more and even better dance with my kids!

Who inspires you?
My dad as his belief that you can achieve anything with hard work – he has proved this again and again through the hardest of times and always become successful again even when he falls!

Work hard and play hard!!!
