Can you build a successful business without social media? Yes, you can! There are lots of other ways to get discovered, connect with your audience, and build an incredible community of people who love what you’re about.
Some people love creating social media content for their businesses, but for others it’s daunting and draining… even anxiety-inducing. There’s so much pressure to get likes and shares and stay one step ahead of the trends. It’s exhausting, especially if you don’t like social media in the first place!
The good news is that you can still build your business and serve your audience without a trending dance move in sight! The question you need to ask yourself is: ‘How can I create visibility in a way that feels good for me?’
Here are three ideas to get you started:
Networking
How are you going to get known for what you do? How are you going to get people to know you exist? One of the most powerful things you can do is to put yourself out there and meet as many people as you can. You can go to in-person events, join online groups, or a mix of both — as long as you’re connecting with people and building relationships, the opportunities are huge!
Ads
You can still leverage the power of social media without actually being on it! Ads are an amazing way to get your face and brand out there in front of millions of social media users. You don’t even need a huge budget to start with! Start small and see how it goes.
YouTube
This is a bit of a grey area since it is technically social media, but YouTube is amazing for getting discovered, sharing your message and building meaningful relationships. It’s less about likes and more about connecting with people and having real conversations.
Remember, you don’t have to do ALL the things to be successful in business. Focus on one or two things that you actually enjoy and just build on it from there!
