YOUR MESSAGE IS UNIQUE

The amazing Jadah Sellner once said, “There is no such thing as a unique message, only unique messengers.”

You are a unique messenger because there’s no one else in the entire world with a message, a perspective and experiences just like yours.

This is the formula you need to pour into your business in order to build a brand that stands out – by tapping into the power of YOU.

“A brand is a feeling.”

A lot of people think a brand means colours, fonts and logos, but there is so much that needs to happen before you dive into the look of your brand.

We need to focus on pouring feelings and emotion into our brand, so that people deeply resonate with it and connect with it.

3 KEY THINGS TO FOCUS ON

Here are 3 really key things you need to focus on to build a brand that will stand out:

1. What is your mission?

You have to have a clear mission for your business, which is all about how your business is here to serve. There’s something you’re putting out there that your audience wants to receive.

So what is your mission when it comes to these people? How are you showing up to serve them?

Getting clear on this is going to help you to build a brand that people love.

So for example, the mission of the Female Entrepreneur Association is,

“To inspire and empower as many women from around the world to turn their ideas into wildly successful businesses.”

So people follow FEA on social media, on YouTube, subscribe to our email or join our membership, because they’re aligned with that mission and we can serve them in a way that’s really clear.

Your mission is your North Star and it’s going to guide you as you build your business, so make sure you’re really clear on what that is.

2. What do you stand for?

Here’s a question that might help you as you’re getting clear on your business mission:

What do you stand for? What does your business stand for?

If you want to build a brand and a business that stands out, you have to stand for something.

When you want to decide what your business stands for, start by looking at it from a personal perspective and think about what you stand for as a person and what is important to you.

If you have a think about brands that you love, you’ll start to notice that the brands you resonate with are the brands that have a vision, a mission or core values that you believe in.

Business is an emotional exchange. People are going to spend their money and time with brands that they resonate and connect with. It’s about stories, beliefs and values. So really get clear on what yours are, and start to infuse them into every aspect of your business.

3. Who is your ideal audience?

The final thing to think about is your audience, the people that you are actually serving.

In order to connect with them and serve them really well, you need to get really clear on who they are.

Remember, you don’t need to know everything, just get started with it and learn more as you go.

Whether you already have an existing audience of people or you don’t, start doing your research, start to listen and learn.

The more we listen to our audience and the more we understand them, the more we can resonate with them, the more we can connect with them, the more we can build a relationship and a meaningful connection with them.

CREATING YOUR BRAND IDENTITY

Once you have all these pieces figured out, start thinking about the look and feel of your brand in a way that would resonate with your audience.

At FEA, we like to create a feeling of caring and friendliness. We want to make it feel like a safe space for people to open up about the challenges we all face on our entrepreneurial journey, so we use colours that are soft and are feminine.

Think about who you’re going to be attracting with those colours. Are they your dream clients?

CONCLUSION

Never forget that you are unique, there is no other you in this whole world and that makes you so special!

Stop worrying about the competition, because when you tap into your true self, no one can compete with what your unique business can bring to this world.
