Five Decisions That Changed My Life

Back at the beginning of this decade I was lost, confused and had no idea what my true purpose was or what I wanted to do with my life.

I reached a point where I was so fed up with holding myself back and with the excuses I was making that I realised something definitely had to change.

I started journaling my thoughts, my feelings and trying to gain clarity around what success meant for me.

And once I figured that out, I realised that I had to commit, to make certain decisions that would guide my actions and the person I needed to be to get there.

The decisions I made helped me condition my mind for success and radically changed my life over the past 10 years.

By making these decisions, I was also giving myself permission to go after the success I wanted to create.

So here they are, the decisions that changed my life…

I decided who I wanted and needed to be.

I was going to be the person who committed to her dreams instead of her doubts, the person who stopped focusing on the negatives and decided to experiment, explore and be curious about what’s possible. From that moment on, I was going to a positive person, an action-taker, the best version of me I could possibly be.

I decided to be ruthlessly disciplined.

I realised that the only way to succeed and continue to create bigger success, I had to be ruthlessly disciplined in the pursuit of making my dreams come true, so I worked relentlessly hard.

I decided to do things that scared the hell out of me.

I knew that if I wanted to build a successful business, I had to stop thinking about myself and start thinking about how I was going to be of service to my audience, how I was going to get my message across to them. That meant putting myself out there, even when I was scared. I decided to build an audience of my ideal customers. I understood that in order to grow my business and make an impact, I had to dedicate myself to building an audience of people who loved what my business was about, so that’s exactly what I focused on.

I decided that I didn’t need to have it all figured out.

A lot of us think that we have to have everything figured out before we can build a business, launch a product or publish a new piece of content. But no one has it all figured out and you don’t need to in order to create success. I realised that everyone is winging it! So I gave myself permission to wing it too!

I decided to be of service to my audience.

I knew that if I wanted to build a successful business and help others along the way, I had to stop thinking about myself and start thinking about how I could be of service to my audience, which has always guided every piece of content and every product I have ever created for my business.

So now take some moments to think to yourself: what are the decisions and the commitments you need to make to create the success you dream of in 2020 and the years to come?

The decision really is up to no one but you!
