Posting out on social media can be really overwhelming and it so easy to fall of the band wagon with it all. I know I definitely wouldn’t have been able to build my business the way I have if I didn’t figure out how to stay consistent with posting on Facebook (the primary social media platform that I chose to focus on). So here are the three things I do to stay on top of posting out on social media so that I can keep growing my audience and building my business.
CREATE CONTENT CATEGORIES
I find that it’s really helpful to post out a few times a day. However you can’t post out the same thing over and over again. For example, it’s not effective to just post only inspirational quotes all the time. Create different types of content categories that engage your audience in different ways. Some examples could be: inspiring quotes, your latest blog post, an offer you can share, a tip of the day.
BATCH CREATE YOUR CONTENT
Batching can help you keep from feeling like you’re on a constant treadmill for coming up with new content. You can plan out a month or quarter ahead and build up your library of content for each category in batches. Imagine if you had the next 30 days of content planned out and created ahead of time! Not only would your posts be consistent, you would be able to focus on your business instead of constantly creating content for social media.
SCHEDULE YOUR CONTENT
Know when each type of content is supposed to go out. We use an amazing scheduling app called MeetEdgar and we’re able to schedule and recycle content on a continuous loop. You don’t have to post out something only once! Having this type of automatic scheduler has truly been a game-changer and time-saver.
