DO SOMETHING CREATIVE

Step away from your computer during the day and do something creative. Draw, doodle, sew, knit or paint an old piece of furniture. Even if there isn’t a project in mind, just try something!

SLOW DOWN TO SPEED UP

For years I looked outward for the answers. A flashier car, a nicer dress, a more exclusive handbag and the list goes on! On my path of spiritual awakening, I discovered that all those answers lay within me, not in the outside world. Connecting to my inner guide and source energy has revealed so much that was missing from my business. The key is to slow down to speed up.

CREATE DELIBERATE MARKETING SEQUENCES

This is a popular strategy in email marketing. It can work when someone joins your email list, visits your store, or buys from you online. Send an email immediately after people join your list. If you are a local retailer, send a thank you email immediately after your customer leaves the store, and follow-up after the purchase. Nothing delights customers more than special attention

TAKE OWNERSHIP OF YOUR SELLING PROCESSES

Allocate some time in your diary each and every day to focus on sharing your message and selling. If you’re not putting your stuff out there in front of your audience and actively asking for the sale, then you’re missing a huge opportunity, and you’re definitely leaving cash on the table! Sales aren’t going to magically fall into your lap, so take ownership of your selling processes and make them a priority every single day for the next month, and beyond. This doesn’t have to take absolutely masses of your time. You could spend just fifteen minutes writing a useful and entertaining piece of content with a strong call to action at the end leading to your sales page or inviting your readers to book in a discovery call with you via an appointment scheduling software. You could then send it to your email subscribers, and repurpose it as content for your blog and social media channels. Next, spend five minutes following up with any enquiries and messages and reach out to help those who could benefit from working with you. In less than half an hour, you’ve completed your messaging and selling activities for the day, and you’ve put yourself in a great position for making more sales!

REMEDY TO-DO LIST GUILT

Find something that has been lurking on your to-do list for at least a week. Ask yourself why you haven’t done it yet. Either it isn’t important enough (to you) and you can ditch it, or it is important and you can think about why you are procrastinating on it. If it is too big, then break it down. If it is a boring task, then put a time limit on it. If you don’t have the right tools, then get them ordered, etc. Either way, your to-do list is shorter and you can ditch the guilt about how long the item has sat on your to-do list not getting done.
