Be clear about what you do/offer
Answer, “What’s in it for me?”
Make it really clear how people can benefit by taking further action on your site.
Direct them where you want them to go
What is the ONE thing you want people to do when they go to your site. Direct everything towards that one thing.
Who are your visitors and where are they coming from?
Realise that people may not be landing on your homepage for the first time, so make sure you have Call To Actions set up on your posts + pages too.
Less is More
Less text, more graphics. People don’t read websites like books, they scan them for information that stands out to them.
Sketch it out first
It seems obvious, but a lot of people don’t plan their website before they start designing or redesigning. If it’s been more than a year since you’ve refreshed your website, chances are you should do an audit.

I hope this helps you to tweak your website to make it even more effective! Remember to leave a comment if you’d like Jessica to review your site for you :)
See you next week for more tips and inspiration!
