With 2015 just around the corner, we’ve put together a list of 5 things for you to try this month to close out this year and prepare for the year to come…
Every year has its challenges, but when we take the time to look back at all the wonderful and amazing things that have happened to us, we can count it all joy and see just how beautiful our journey is with its ups and downs.
So pour yourself a cup of something delicious, put your feet up and take as long you need to write down all the good things that came into your life in 2014 – goals you achieved, lovely new friends you made, blessings that surprised you, dream clients you love working with…list them all – big and small and say to yourself: “Yes! My dreams are always coming true!”
ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR EPIPHANIES
Life is always, always teaching us something that we need to learn in order to live our best lives. What lessons did 2014 hold for you? Really reflect and ask yourself if you’ve embraced these lessons and used them to take your life to the next level.
Are there any lessons that you’re still resisting? When we fail to accept what life is trying to teach us, we fall into the trap of having to go through the same lesson over and over until we finally get it.
Don’t let 2015 be a repeat of 2014. Acknowledge whatever epiphanies came into your life this year and remember to carry them with you as you move forward.
I’ve heard it said that we cannot accept anything new if our hands are closed tight upon the old. If we want to open our hearts and minds to everything that the upcoming new year has to offer us, we need to give ourselves permission to let go of whatever is holding us back in a dis-empowered mindset.
Maybe you’ve missed a big goal and you feel a bit stuck in feelings of disappointment, or there’s someone you need to forgive for something and it’s keeping you from making peace with the past and yourself. Break free from any mental cobwebs and clutter by making the decision to let go, forgive, and embrace a fresh mindset right now.
Remember to renew your decision whenever you sense those old cobwebs creeping back in (because they probably will!) so that you can embrace a lighter and brighter new year.
MAKE A NEW DREAM BOARD FOR 2015
Dream boards are magical! We always get what we can picture in our minds and focus on with feelings of expectation and gratitude.
There are several ways that you can create a dream board. You can put together a poster of pictures of your dreams and tape it up on your wall by your bed or your desk where you’ll see it every day. You can create a pin board on Pinterest and fill it with all your dreams for the year. You can even create a dream book – a scrapbook of pasted-in pictures so that you can flip through it and see page after page of all your dreams.
The key is to look at your dreams every day and really connect with what it would feel like to have already achieved them. So pick one of these methods and use the fun, festive time of the holidays to get excited about what you want 2015 to look like before it even starts.
MAKE A GIFT OF YOUR BUSINESS
Some people hesitate to use their own products as Christmas gifts, but if you believe that certain people on your Christmas list would love what you offer, then you have a splendid opportunity to make a gift of your business.
Get creative with how you can take your product or service and mix it up with the holiday spirit. Your objective, of course, isn’t to merely turn everyone into customers, but if people love your gift so much that they want more, than that’s a good thing for both of you!
Now, over to you. Which tip are you going to put into practice this month? Let us know in the comments below. :)
