It’s October which means 2 big things:
1) It’s Halloween time… so carve out the pumpkin!
2) We’re into the last quarter of the year (yikes!)
So this month we’ve got 5 fun, inspiring and scary things for you to try to help you have a spectacular month…
DO SOMETHING THAT SCARES YOU!
I was proud of myself when I came up with this one, with it being Halloween and all! But seeing as this is the month of scary things, why not apply that to your business and do something that scares you? In a good way of course!
I don’t know about you, but I like an easy life and sometimes that means that I forget to do the things that scare the heck out of me – the things that push me outside of my comfort zone and get my heart racing! But sometimes we need to do those things in order to push forwards!
So I’m challenging you to get into the spirit of halloween and do something scary.
Make a call you’ve been putting off. Launch that product you’ve been thinking about. Increase your prices, even though it terrifies you and makes you feel uncomfortable.
So what scary thing are you going to do? Leave a comment below… I’d love to know!
SET YOUR GOALS & MAKE YOUR PLAN
Like I mentioned before, we’re into the last quarter of 2014, so in order to end this year on a high, take some time to get super clear on what you’d like to make happen over the next 3 months and then map out how you’re going to do it.
You’ve got to get so organised with this! The more clarity you have the better and the more actions you can schedule into your days and weeks the more you will get done.
So step up your focus this month.
ACTION TO TAKE: Take 20 minutes or more and review your goals, set new ones and make your plan. For more help with this, check out this article >>
October is a month where most of use get creative… with a pumpkin normally! So get creative in your business too.
Is there anything you could create this month (free or paid) that your audience would LOVE? If so, make it happen!
WOW SOMEONE THIS MONTH
At halloween a lot of people go above and beyond to wow, like this woman with her face paint/art/effects…
(WOW. Not sure if this is wow good or just wow ewww. Nevertheless she wows.)
So this month aim to WOW. What could you do that would wow your audience, or maybe a customer? Up your game this month and program your attitude to wow. Be spectacular this month and go above and beyond to delight.
DEAL WITH YOUR DEMONS
And finally, this month you may have little demons and devils knocking at your door asking for candy, but we’ve all probably got a demon or two inside our head!
That little voice that tells us we can’t do something, that freaks us out and makes us hold back, that little voice that makes us feel bad about ourselves. I’m sure you know the one I’m talking about.
Well, I personally don’t believe we can ever get rid of that little demon, but I do believe we can deal with them. In fact, I think a massive part of being successful is actually dealing with our demons.
Building a business can be scary and I know I’ve talked myself out of a goal or two… lots of times without even realised I was doing it.
So this month take some I want you to pay attention to that voice inside of your head. Whenever the negative stuff starts to come up, deal with it. If you have a thought or belief that is holding you back, figure out what’s going on. Be willing to accept it and move past it.
You are stronger that your thoughts – they don’t control you, you control them. So this month step up your mental strength as you prepare the have the best 3 months of the year!
ACTION TO TAKE: Get a post-it note and write on it “what’s going on in my head right now? I have the strength to overcome negative thoughts.” and then stick somewhere you’ll see throughout the day (maybe on your computer). This is just to remind you to consciously check in with yourself throughout the day to see what’s going on in that head of yours, so that you can iron out any thoughts that might be holding you back.
Out of these 5 things, which one are you most excited/determined to try? I’d love to know, leave a comment below :)
Have an spooktacular October (ha ha, sorry about that!)
