Sile started her holistic coaching business so that she could define what success meant to her on her own terms. She’s passionate about helping people design authentic lives and businesses. In the process, Sile realized that being an entrepreneur is in itself a healing process as one grows in self-worth and self-esteem. Read how she did it below…

WHAT MOTIVATED & INSPIRED YOU TO START YOUR BUSINESS?
I have always been around amazing entrepreneurs and I am crazy creative. I left school early and struggled in that academic system. Starting my business was about me redefining what success, happiness and intelligence looks like in my own life.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS…
I am a holistic coach for life and business. I have a number of different trainings in holistic therapies and also in coaching. I help people create fulfilled lives and businesses in a way that is authentic to them, not some cookie cutter system.
WHAT WERE THE FIRST FEW STEPS YOU TOOK TO GET YOUR BUSINESS UP AND RUNNING?
I continued training and working part-time while maintaining my day job!
WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY OF RAISING AWARENESS OF YOUR BUSINESS AND GETTING NEW CUSTOMERS?
Getting out there, meeting new people and being so excited about my business that it’s bursting out of me. Although it’s a business, it’s also a passion for me and if I dare to sound a little woo woo, it makes the world a better place one client at a time. How can I not share this and how do people not pick up on those vibes? That’s the core. Then, of course, lots of marketing!
WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGES SO FAR WITH RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS?
Self-esteem and valuing my services have been my biggest challenges. Man has this been hard and I have been working on it for the past few years. Running a business seems to trigger every insecurity I have ever had and the beauty of this is that running a business authentically can be the most healing journey.
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES?
I faced them, owned them and got sh#t loads of professional help. I needed others who could support and challenge me so I didn’t just keep repeating what I have always done!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT RUNNING YOUR OWN BUSINESS?
Where to start? I love, love, love my clients. I get to sit with amazing people and see them change in front of me. I feel so at home doing what I do and wake up every morning buzzing & ready to go. I also like the flexibility, this week alone I worked in person and on-line with clients .. covering Australia, Ireland, Canada and the USA… how freaking cool??!!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER ENTREPRENEURS?
GET HELP! I know we are hard wired to think we can do EVERYTHING but we can’t do everything really well. Get the help in the form that you need it!
HOW DO YOU KEEP MOTIVATED THROUGH DIFFICULT TIMES?
I make sure I am surrounded by the right people and take uber amounts of self-care!
DO YOU HAVE A BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY?
Be Authentic first and everything will follow!
When I face a big challenge I…
pray.
My greatest fear is…
never knowing my truest self.
The most courageous thing I’ve ever done is…
I left school and went straight into 3rd level education (I was a year too young and refused to accept a no).
If I could go back in time to when I was 20 I would tell myself…
stop worrying; things will get rocky and you will get stronger.
I believe…
each one of us is capable of greatness and deserves it!
The biggest lesson I have ever learned is…
there is no right or wrong.
My favourite business tool or resource is…
Evernote.
My favourite quote is…
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain!”
