Motivation Monday: Change Your Perception, Change Your Life

In 2005, author David Foster Wallace was asked to give the commencement address to the 2005 graduating class of Kenyon College. However, the resulting speech didn’t become widely known until 3 years later, after his tragic death.

It is, without a doubt one of the best videos I’ve watched this year – watch it and then think, ‘next time I’m in a situation I don’t like, how will I choose to see it? How will I choose to respond?”

Charles Swindoll once said, “Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.” It’s true, isn’t it?

We live our lives reacting to the situations we find ourselves faced with – the way we react depends on our attitude, our state of mind, our perception of the situation.
