I find that problems and creative blocks can be a pretty common occurrence when you’re trying to build a business! Some problems come and go quickly, while others seem to cause a bit of a block, these are the problems that can end up really slowing things down and leaving you feeling frustrated!
More often than not I find that there’s a simple solution right in front of me, it’s just that I can’t see it because I’m so focused on the problem, but if I take a step back and change my perspective I begin to see the solution.
Albert Einstein said,
“The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.”
If you continue to look at your problems from the same confused perspective you won’t find the solution, you’ll go round and round in circles.
So in this week’s video I’ve shared a creative problem solving exercise, which will hopefully help you to change your perspective and think outside of the box! It’s called The Dictionary Problem Solver and it’s easy and fun to do and it’s effective!
What’s also helped me with overcoming problems is changing my mindset about them. Eileen Caddy writes in The Dawn of Change, “Expect your every need to be met, expect the answer to every problem…” There’s such a massive shift between feeling like you’re totally stuck and can’t move beyond your problems to fully expecting your problems to be solved. In the past I have found that when I’ve said to myself, “I expect the answer to my problems” the same day a weird ‘coincidence’ will occur and I’ll miraculously have the answer or start seeing what I need to do in order to solve the problem.
So the next time you face a problem change your perspective, get creative and expect the answers to your problems!
I would love to know what helps you to solve your problems – leave a comment below and share your tips and advice!
