Workwear Wednesday — Neutral Chic

T-Shirt — Markus Lupfer | Blazer & Shorts — French Connection | Necklace — Stella & Dot | Belt — Gucci | Shoes — ASOS | Bag — Chloe | Nail Polish — ‘Lady Like’ by Essie

I know that it feels like our British Summer might just be over *sigh* but I’m still dreaming of being able to get my legs out at least once more before September!

I often forget about shorts as an alternative to skirts in the Summer but when paired with a casual t-shirt and a tailored blazer, I think this look would be perfect for work — if only the sun would come back out!

Accessories are key for any outfit and I love this Stella & Dot necklace. It would look cute over the top of the t-shirt, which I would definitely wear tucked in to the shorts. This would create a need for a belt and this gorgeous brown Gucci belt would match perfectly.

For work, I tend to prefer a larger bag to hold all my daily necessities and Chloe will always feature at the top of my lust list. This bag fits the neutral theme, would definitely hold most of your work accessories and is extremely chic.

A pop of pale pink really finishes this outfit off and gives it a slightly girly twist. I can never resist stripes and the pink and gold look really pretty together on the heels. Nail polish is a great way to instantly pull an outfit together, in an inexpensive way, and Essie have a fabulous selection of colours.

So, what do you think — would you wear shorts for work? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Until next week…
