“The promise of freedom and abundance as an entrepreneur has always appealed to me”

This story is about…

Female Entrepreneur: Lisa Williams

Company: Personal Touch Best Solutions

Location: Canada

Age range: 50s

What motivated you to start your business?

The promise of freedom and abundance as an entrepreneur has always appealed to me! When my children were young it meant I could stay connected to adults while staying at home to raise them. Now that they have grown I am enjoying the freedom of choice and abundance of love, joy and new discoveries

Tell us about your business.

I am committed to helping women discover their inner being through fashion. Seeing the sparkle in their eyes when they put on an outfit that is perfect for their body is intoxicating to me and I take every opportunity I get to experience this. I use the comfortable clothing provided by Jockey Person To Person to help women dress for their shape.

What is a day in the life of you like?

Very diverse! My passion for fashion is one of many passions and you will find me working on others industries throughout my day. When someone asks me “what I do”, my answer is always “when?” The common thread through all that I do in a day is “helping others get what they need no matter what it is”.

What have been your biggest challenges so far with running your business?

Patience, I struggle with having patience and find myself thinking about the next big project or task instead of honing the current one.

How did you overcome these challenges?

I’m still working on overcoming my struggle with patience and I am committed to mastering it and adding it to my growing list of skills and personal qualities

What have you found to be the most effective way to get new clients?

By far the most effective way I have received new clients is by networking with other women, listening to their needs and not being afraid to speak up and share what I can do to support their needs

What advice would you give to other business owners?

Connect with like-minded people, don’t be afraid to speak up and clearly state what you are committed to in your business when you have the opportunity to share.

How do you keep motivated through difficult times?

Relying on my support group to be there when I need them and being there for them when they need me.

What’s your favourite quote?

“Obstacles are things that you see when you lose sight of your goal”

Who inspires you?

People around me every time I take the opportunity to hear their stories.

Do you have a business philosophy?

I live by quality over quantity and less is more in all areas of my life including my business.
